Call Forwarding Made Easy

Call forwarding is made easy with Phone.com

At the Phone.com headquarters in Newark, New Jersey, we’re lucky to be in such a wonderful coworking space like Launch Pad surrounded by entrepreneurs, tech companies, and myriad other small businesses that make up the community.

One such entrepreneur started using our service but had a bit of a problem figuring out the Call Forwarding feature with his account. Since it’s one of the first things you have to do after signing up, we decided it’d be a perfect blog post.

Depending on which plan you have, call forwarding may affect your pool of minutes. For unlimited minutes, you should forward your Phone.com number to your unlimited extension, then forward the unlimited extension to the destination you’d like most—whether it’s your mobile phone, or just the extension itself with an IP-ready phone.

This post covers very basic call forwarding, but there are other options to explore once you’re up and running. For example, if you’d like to set rules for work hours versus after hours calls, our customer service specialists can assist you in implementing a schedule. For small companies or (very) lean startups, these call rules—especially when calls are directed to a menu to choose from a variety of different extensions—give a big business perception and confidence to your brand.
